ASU Cares 2026
Teachers & Crossing Guards Appreciation Campaign
Presented by ASU Black Alumni

This March, ASU Black Alumni is proud to support the everyday heroes of Phoenix School District 1: The Teachers and Crossing Guards of Bethune Elementary School.

Through our ASU Cares initiative, we are launching a combined appreciation campaign to provide comfort, supplies, and essential equipment to those who educate and protect our students each day.

How You Can Help

Teacher Appreciation
Donations will help stock the Bethune Elementary Teachers’ Lounge with snacks, refreshments, lounge supplies, and classroom support items, creating a space for rest, renewal, and appreciation.

Crossing Guards Appreciation
Contributions will provide protective and comfort equipment for Crossing Guards who work in extreme weather conditions, including umbrellas, visors, reflective jackets, water thermals, cooler bags, and mini fans.

Teachers educate.
Crossing Guards protect.
Together, they help create safe, thriving school communities.

Every contribution—big or small—makes a meaningful difference.
