The Curt Schafer Lecture is a collaboration between the Arizona Architecture Foundation and The Design School at Arizona State University. Each year, a distinguished architect or designer is invited to Arizona to present their work and design ideas. The event brings together students, professionals and community members to engage in discussion about architecture and the built environment.

The 2026 Curt Schafer Lecture will feature architect Alberto Kalach, who will present selected projects and reflections on architecture’s relationship to landscape, infrastructure and the city.

  • 5:00 PM - Reception
  • 5:30 PM - Lecture followed by a moderated discussion. Audience Q&A will follow the presentation.

This event is open to students, faculty, professionals and members of the public.
