AI Spotlight: Syllabot
In this AI Spotlight session, Jennifer Werner, AI learning strategist with Learning Experience Design, joined by a guest from the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, will share the journey behind Syllabot, an AI powered tool that transforms course syllabi into an interactive chatbot experience for students.
Following the showcase, participants will move from inspiration to application through a hands-on exploration of the CreateAI platform. Attendees will use a provided template to build their own Syllabot, demonstrating how course documents can be quickly transformed into practical, interactive AI tools that support student success.
This workshop will help attendees:
- Identify a real world instructional challenge addressed by the Syllabot creators and explain how AI was used to solve it
- Upload and configure a course syllabus in CreateAI as the knowledge base for a Syllabot using a template
- Test and refine a customized Syllabot to ensure it accurately responds to common student questions
