Join faculty and peers in a casual setting on Monday, Sept./ 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. as we discuss microbes and how they might thrive in space! As space exploration kicks into higher gear and space tourism materializes, it becomes increasingly important to understand how tiny stowaways are affected by radiation, extremely cold temperatures, and differences in sunlight. What kinds of microbes might come with us on space-faring journeys? What kind of microbes should we bring with us – and what characteristics of microbes should be studied and monitored by astronauts? Should that be a priority for organizations like NASA? Find out the answers – and get more questions – on 9.9.24 at BioBanter: Aliens Among Us. Food will be provided!
