Amalgamation of Place | MFA thesis exhibition by Rachel Rinker

April 10 – May 10 | Tempe Center for the Arts

Opening reception | April 17 | 5:30–9 p.m.

Painting and music composition merge into an MFA solo thesis exhibition by Rachel Rinker. Moving fluidly between practices, Amalgamation of Place explores gesture, rhythm, and emotional energy through abstraction using both sight and sound. The exhibition features the artist’s first interactive painting, where viewers are invited to become part of the soundscape.

Interactive sound design developed with Kylar Gardener.

Opening reception performance | 6:15 p.m.

Experience a unique fusion of visual art and music as flute performances bring the artist’s paintings to life, turning brushstrokes and colors into sound.
