Arabic Film Series: Film Screening, "In Syria"
A “brilliantly effective indictments of the horrors of war," In Syria (originally Insyriated) won the Panorama Audience Award at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival. And at the 8th Magritte Awards, it won all six Awards it was nominated for, including Best Film and Best Director. The film depicts life in war-torn Syria, focusing on a mother trying to protect her family, attempting to keep her family safe as war rages.
