Arizona Opera is thrilled to present internationally celebrated mezzo‑soprano Jamie Barton in recital on March 3.

The performance will feature Barton in collaboration with distinguished pianist Kathleen Kelly, offering audiences an extraordinary evening of vocal artistry. Learn more about Jamie Barton.

Critically acclaimed by virtually every major outlet covering classical music, American mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton is the winner of the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording, as well as the Beverly Sills Artist Award, Richard Tucker Award, and BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, for which The Guardian described her as “a great artist, no question, with an imperturbable steadiness of tone, and a nobility of utterance that invites comparison with mid-20th century greats such as Kirsten Flagstad.” Barton’s win at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions launched a major international career that includes leading roles at many of the world’s most-loved opera houses, including Opéra National de Paris, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Real Madrid, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, and the Met.
