ASU Employee Wellness 2026: Nutrition and oral health

During this presentation, we will explore the critical relationship between dietary habits and oral wellness. We will examine the protective and harmful effects of everyday dietary choices, explore key nutritional considerations across various age groups, discuss the impact of dry mouth and the role certain medications and supplements play in altering the oral environment and increasing the risk of dental disease. Attendees will leave with practical, evidence-based strategies to support both oral and overall health through informed nutrition choices.  

 

Dr. Manoush Farzin earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology and a Master of Science in Biology from Arizona State University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, where she received advanced clinical training in general dentistry and full-scope patient care. She is the proud owner of Destination Dental in Mesa.
