Join the ASU Houston Chapter for a rewarding volunteer opportunity with Urban Harvest on November 23rd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Central Time)! We’ll be working together at the Opportunity Center located at 6500a Chimney Rock Rd, Houston, TX 77081, to support Urban Harvest’s mission of transforming food accessibility across Greater Houston.
Urban Harvest is dedicated to improving the lives, soils, and plates of Houstonians by fostering partnerships with local farmers, gardeners, and educators. Through their Farmers Markets, mobile markets, and garden education programs, Urban Harvest is reshaping how communities connect with fresh, locally sourced food.
Founded over 30 years ago, Urban Harvest grew from a single community garden into a powerful organization, uniting neighbors to combat challenges, celebrate local food, and cultivate thriving gardens and markets citywide. As a volunteer, you’ll contribute directly to this meaningful mission, helping Urban Harvest set a national standard for community collaboration in sustainable food systems.
Let’s come together as Sun Devils to support a greener, healthier Houston!
