Event description

  • Arts and entertainment
  • Family friendly
  • Open to the public

From the elegance of Classical form to the vivid reinvention of 20th-century sound, this concert traverses centuries of symphonic color and craft. The ASU Symphony Orchestra opens with Carl Reinecke's lyrical "Flute Concerto," featuring ASU's Mikaela Hannon (DMA, '24). Haydn's final symphony and Hindemith's "Symphonic Metamorphosis" round out the evening with wit, brilliance and rhythmic fire.

Carl Reinecke, "Flute Concerto in D major, Op. 283"
Joseph Haydn, "Symphony No. 104 in D major"
Paul Hindemith, "Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber"
