Beyond Borders: Migration and Home (Poetry Workshop)

What stories do we carry with us? What places, people and memories make us feel at home? How do we build belonging in the communities we move through and create together?

This event is a community-centered generative poetry workshop exploring migration, belonging and home. Through guided writing prompts, conversation, and creative reflection, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, honor personal and collective histories and imagine new ways of connecting across differences.

This workshop welcomes people of all writing backgrounds and life experiences. Together, we will explore how migration, movement, family, culture, language, and place shape our identities and communities. Participants will generate new poetry inspired by their own stories while listening to and learning from the experiences of others.
