The Arizona State University Jazz Program launches its 2025–26 season with a powerful evening of music featuring the ASU Concert Jazz Band, the acclaimed ASU Jazz Faculty, and two world-renowned guest artists: drummer Lewis Nash and trombonist Wycliffe Gordon.

This opening concert showcases the depth and versatility of ASU’s student ensembles alongside the artistry of its distinguished faculty, setting the stage for an unforgettable year of jazz at ASU. With Nash’s masterful swing and Gordon’s soulful virtuosity, the performance promises an inspired celebration of tradition, innovation, and collaboration.

As part of the evening, we are proud to recognize this year’s recipient of the Lewis Nash Scholarship, celebrating the talent and promise of the next generation of jazz artists. Join us for this exciting kickoff to the season—an evening that honors both the legacy of jazz and the bright future it inspires.
