Breaking Down the Solicitation to Create a Responsive Grant Proposal (Proposal Development Workshop)

A funding opportunity has just been released, now what? A successful proposal begins with understanding what the sponsor is truly asking for. This workshop teaches participants how to strategically analyze funding solicitations to identify sponsor priorities, assess proposal competitiveness, and uncover the review criteria that drive funding decisions. Participants will learn practical techniques to transform the solicitation into a roadmap for proposal development, helping them organize their response, write more efficiently, and increase responsiveness throughout the application. By the end of the session, attendees will be better equipped to develop proposals that are easy for reviewers to navigate, aligned with sponsor expectations, and less likely to be rejected due to non-compliance.
