Join Professor of Practice in Architecture Daniel Inocente in a lecture that explores the dynamic interplay between technology, sustainability, and architecture, titled Building the Future of Architecture.

Inocente will dive into the transformative impact of emerging technologies and sustainable initiatives in the building and other industries, unveiling the profound influence they exert on the future of cities and society at large. As our world grapples with pressing societal challenges, there is a growing awareness of the imperative to develop sustainable technologies and reimagine the built environment. Inocente will discuss the link between societal challenges and architectural innovation.

The talk highlights how ideas and technologies from diverse fields are shaping the future of our cities. The lecture will cover the role of architecture, prompting a holistic perspective on the synthesis of technology, resource utilization and environmental impact. Architecture compels us to reconceptualize our relationship with resources and the environment but most importantly, our place on Earth. By pushing the boundaries of traditional architectural thinking, we can form a perspective that spans various scales, demanding a paradigm shift in our approach to design, construction, and use of resources.

The goal of this talk is to instill an interdisciplinary mindset and approach to design that helps us reframe how architecture can drive positive change for the future of cities and society.

This is a hybrid event. Attend in person on The Bridge or join via Zoom.
