CAI Engaging Citizenship Luncheon — 'The Depth of DEI in Our Military'

The Center for American Institutions recently published a national commission report on "Civic Education in the Military"

Commissioners  Matt Lohmeier, U.S. Space Force Lt. Col. (ret) and Stand Together Against Racism and Radicalism in the Services, Inc. (STARRS) EvP, Karrin Taylor Robson, Arizona businesswoman and Honorary Commander of Luke Airforce Base, and John Cauthen, U.S. Naval Officer (ret) will speak about the findings of this report and the depth of DEI in our military.

The Center for American Institutions at Arizona State University is committed to civic education for students and the larger community.

The mission of the CAI Engaging Citizenship Luncheons is to provide a deeper understanding of critical political and cultural issues confronting our nation. These meetings provide an opportunity for attendees from the community to deepen their understanding of issues including free speech, crime policy, constitutional rights, education, biotechnology and religious freedom. 

Luncheons are designed for active attendee engagement with topic introductions by an ASU faculty member and/or subject matter expert, Q&A, small group discussions, presentation of discussion outcomes and general discussion.

Additional topics for fall 2024 include:

Nov. 5: "Cybercrime: A National Security Threat" ft. John Iannarelli, cyber security expert and FBI agent (ret).

Dec. 10: "The State of Arizona Politics - Post Election" ft. Mike Nobel, Founder & CEO Nobel Predictive Insights and James Strickland, Associate Professor of Political Science, ASU
