Event description

  • Sustainability

Join us at ASU Garden Commons for a local foods celebration this Earth Month!  Sun Devil Hospitality will showcase locally harvested ingredients during a pancake breakfast. Pancakes will be made from mesquite flour and served with prickly pear syrup and lemonade from lemons grown and harvested at Garden Commons.

Garden Commons will have garden tours, a donation based plant and seed sale, information about wild edible foods from the Sonoran Desert.

Sun Devil Hospitality will have supplies to paint your own watercolor painting with prickly pear based paints and Undergraduate Student Government will have an activity to paint birdhouses.  So bring your creativity!

The annual Garden Commons plant and sale features cacti, agaves, herbs, and vegetables grown by student volunteers as well as flower, herb, and vegetable seeds saved from the Garden Commons. ]Donations will be accepted, but not required. Donations to Garden Commons support purchase of garden supplies such as soil, seeds, and fertilizer and paid to the www.asufoundation.org. No cash can be accepted.
