AI Basics to Breakthroughs: From Curious to Confident
Designed for faculty and instructional staff at all comfort levels, this session guides participants through a shared progression from beginner to advanced. The workshop includes two breakout sessions, allowing participants to engage in focused exploration at the basics and intermediate levels. Across both breakouts, participants will learn how AI can streamline image and video creation for instructional and creative needs.
In the Basics breakout, participants begin with foundational AI strategies for image generation in ChatGPT and learn to create accessible alt text using the Image Accessibility Generator in the Learning Design Suite. In the Intermediate breakout, participants explore new image and video features in Google Gemini, including Nano Banana Pro, to expand their creative and instructional workflows.
This workshop will help attendees:
- Generate high quality visuals using ChatGPT and create accessible alt text using the Image Accessibility Generator in the Learning Design Suite
- Explore new image and video capabilities in Google Gemini, including Nano Banana Pro
- Refine and apply AI generated media assets to strengthen instruction and communication
Target Audience: Faculty, instructors, staff and teaching assistants who are interested in exploring technologies supported at Enterprise Technology and strategies for creating engaging experiences for their students.

- Participants will attend remotely via Zoom (a link to Zoom room will be emailed the morning of the training).
