Change the World is an annual showcase that celebrates the imagination, efforts and achievements of lifelong learners. ASU students participate and compete for prize money in the 2026 event at Mountain America Stadium through art, pitch, performance, and exhibits.

Together, let's celebrate ideas that will make a difference on a global scale. Students from our college participating include:

Olila Steven, MS in Global Technology and Development Student

Pitch: MAIL - Mobile Awareness Lab

MAIL (Mobile AI Awareness Lab) is an initiative focused on improving AI literacy among students in underserved communities by delivering interactive workshops that help young people understand how AI systems work, their limitations, and how to use them responsibly.

Jonathan Klane, PhD in Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology Candidate

Performance: Affective Story Sharing Will Change the World (If You Help)

Solo Storytelling (with handheld story element signs)

"My mom, Evan, and Me" - a story

Lilian Daphine Lunyolo, PhD in Sustainability

Pitch: Education reimagined as the best of both worlds.

In this pitch, I juxtapose my privilege as a Ugandan student benefiting from high-quality facilities of education here at ASU with the alarming rates of learning poverty in my home district in Uganda. I propose leveraging low-cost, community-led sustainability solutions as the solution to alleviating learning poverty and imagining the best of both worlds, education in Uganda vs education abroad, especially here in the US.

Jessamine Stone, BA in Innovation in Society

Pre-recorded Pitch: TerraSat
