Civil Dialogue: Health Care's Role In Providing Gender-Affirming Care
Event description
- Free
- Health and wellness
- Inclusion
- Open to the public
If you are interested in challenging conversations, about the healthcare system or wish to connect with opposing views, then join us for our second Civil Dialogue®. The event is brought to you by the Institute for Civil Dialogue, the Council for Inclusive Excellence and Health Policy and Equity Affinity Network at the College of Health Solutions at ASU.
All are welcome, including ASU students, staff, faculty and community members, to this event taking place Wednesday, April 3 from 4 to 5 p.m. in person on the Downtown Phoenix campus in the Mercado Building Room C145.
How this works:
- A handful of individuals will volunteer to consider a provocative question on the topic of health care's role in providing gender-affirming care.
- Volunteers will be encouraged to take a position ranging from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree” and explain their perspective.
- A trained Civil Dialogue facilitator will help keep cool heads and encourage conversation.
The audience will listen and get a chance to share their perspective on the statement.
Sharing opinions and questions will be strongly encouraged.
