Clocking Out

Event description

  • Arts and entertainment

Gallery 100 is pleased to announce Clocking Out, a BFA group exhibition centered around the role of the artist in the contemporary and everyday world. As they work towards graduation, they use this exhibition as a reflection on their undergraduate experience and as a launching point for their professional careers. Clocking Out illustrates the cultural importance of the visual arts as each artist uses their individual voice to contrast the monotony of today’s society. With artists working in animation, painting, drawing, and textiles, this exhibition showcases a wide range of traditional and experimental media. Together, these works demonstrate the anxiety, vulnerability, and excitement that unfolds in entering a self-employed career.

Clocking Out will be on exhibit from March 25th – 29th with an opening reception on March 26th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. This exhibition features works by Arizona State University seniors Yvette Garcia, Melz Glover, Charles Grimes, Madz, Madisen Rocheleau, Samantha Shank, and Jeremiah Walker.
