This 45-minute workshop is reserved for ASU faculty, staff and TAs.

This workshop will be held online and will not be recorded. The use of automated bots, AI assistants, or other meeting recording devices is prohibited without the prior approval of event coordinators.

Creating Accessible Word Processing Documents

In this workshop, participants will learn essential techniques to create accessible word-processing documents, ensuring content is inclusive and usable for all individuals, including those with disabilities. Attendees will explore strategies for using built-in accessibility tools, formatting best practices, and tips for structuring documents with headings, alternative text for images and proper contrast. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge to enhance the accessibility of their digital documents and support a more inclusive learning environment.

Target Audience: ASU Educators and Designers.

  • Participants will attend remotely via Zoom (a link to the Zoom room will be emailed the morning of the training).
  • An ASU Zoom account will be required to join this session.
  • Please register using your ASU email.
  • Time is based on Arizona time.
  • Registration closes 15 min before the event start time.
