Presented by Writing Programs in the Department of English at ASU, The AI-Informed Writing Classroom colloquium series explores topics of interest in relation to the ethical implementation of large-language model (LLM) and generative AI tools into writing classrooms.
This "Critical AI and Policy" session features a discussion facilitated by ASU Writing Programs Director Roger Thompson. Our guests are national experts on AI policy including Casey Mock, senior policy advisor for The Anxious Generation and an adjunct faculty member at Duke University; Rianna Walcott, the associate director of the Black Communication and Technology (BCaT) Lab and an assistant professor of communication at the University of Maryland; and Daniel Schiff, co-director of GRAIL, the Governance and Responsible AI Lab and an assistant professor of political science at Purdue University.
