How does U.S. diplomacy work to promote human rights and democracy and combat authoritarianism, violations of human rights and Genocide? These and other urgent questions will be addressed in a special guest lecture on West Valley campus with Jeffrey Sizemore, Senior Advisor on Atrocity Prevention with the U.S Department of State.

Mr. Sizemore serves in the Office of Security and Human Rights, leading and coordinating his bureau’s atrocity prevention efforts.  He helms the Policy Team in the office, ensuring the various policy lines of effort are synchronized and mutually supportive including children in armed conflict, Women, Peace and Security, visa restrictions and sanctions, civilian harm mitigation, and human rights vetting of arms transfers and US security assistance more broadly.
