The ASU Department of English celebrates its 2025-2026 graduates and award-winners with a reception and exhortations on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 3 p.m.
Participants may attend in-person in Ross-Blakley Hall's gallery area (room 101) on the ASU Tempe campus, or online via Zoom. All are welcome!
Pulitzer winner Mitchell Jackson, the John O. Whiteman Dean's Distinguished Professor of English at ASU, will address the gathering. Jackson's presentation will be followed by remarks by spring 2026 Dean's Medalist for English Emerson (Sheyla) Amaya.
Grad and undergrad students completing any degree in the Department of English during fall 2025, spring 2026 or summer 2026 will be honored, as will those who have garnered scholarships, awards, and fellowships during the past school year. We will also recognize our donors, faculty, staff, friends and family who helped make it all happen!
Refreshments will be served.
