On Thursday, Nov. 21, Security & Defence PLuS will host its first annual Integrated Deterrence Symposium, at Arizona State University (ASU), Deterrence Challenges in the 21st Century: International Partnerships & Emerging Technologies.

This one-day symposium will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions with leading subject experts and military leaders, addressing the evolving intellectual and practical challenges of deterrence, as well as the integration of emerging technologies and international partnerships in a competitive global landscape.


Security & Defence PLuS is the flagship program of the PLuS Alliance, a global partnership that combines the strengths of three leading research universities on three continents – Arizona State University, King’s College London, and the University of New South Wales – to solve global challenges. Security & Defence PLuS deepens this partnership, advancing research, education, and policy to support statecraft in the spirit of the 2021 AUKUS trilateral agreement between the governments of Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
