THE DIAL is an interactive narrative that combines Augmented Reality and Projection Mapping. The mysterious story of a formerly wealthy American family begins with a tragic late-night car crash. A middle aged woman smashes through the stonewall in front of her family home. Told from shifting perspectives, including two young girls snooping from next door, the elderly mother, the police and the omniscient house that sits at its center, the rich visual tale reveals the family’s emotional underbelly and unravels what happened that fateful night.

Projections map a model house on a table at the center of a glowing 14-foot glass cube. The table acts as the clock for the experience. You, the participant, control the story with your body. The more you physically explore, the more details you discover. Move clockwise around the table, time passes in the story. Move backwards, time rewinds. The AR and projections depict the narrative through the four seasons of a year. The repetition in cycles of human behavior blurs time as it unwinds.

The installation is FREE and for ALL AGES. Please note, the story occasionally contains strong language, which may be unsuitable for children. Tickets are required for all experiences. Please note there will be a MAX CAPACITY of up to three patrons per time slot. The Dial will be open to the public the following dates/times:
