The School of Earth and Space Exploration invites those intrigued by Earth, our Solar System, and the Universe beyond to attend “The Edge of Exploration” series. Located in the Marston Theater in ISTB4, the 3D astronomy shows are led by SESE students and staff and explore topics such as: Time and Distance, The Solar System, and Galaxies. Featuring state-of-the-art planetarium technology that utilizes 4,000 projections systems to create 3D renderings of Earth and space-related visuals, the series gives enthusiasts the opportunity to immerse themselves in a lush 3D environment to learn about cutting-edge exploration.

Astrophotography has produced many iconic images of fantastic skyscapes. Roiling colorful clouds gas and dust suggest cataclysmic events on a massive scale. This program will ask the questions:" Where are these objects in our galaxy?" and "What do they tell us about the forces that shape the space around us?"
