Educating for Attention with the School of Radical Attention
Event description
- Academic events
- Free
- Professional and career development
Attention is the foundation for learning. Attention is a metacognitive ability that allows us to see our mind at work and see the choices we make — inside and outside of class. This workshop will assist teachers in creating meaningful, shared attention experiences in the classroom so that students can be aware of the pushes and pulls that distract or motivate them in learning. The School of Radical Attention will lead workshop participants in readings, exercises and discussions in educating for attention in the classroom. Note: this workshop is for teachers.
