"Fractured Logic" Artist Statement

I am an art photographer in Phoenix, Arizona. My art is a visual exploration of the world around me, captured through the lens of my camera and translated into abstract forms through the techniques of intentional camera movement (ICM) and multiple exposure. By intentionally moving the camera during exposure, I create painterly and abstract effects that tell unique and compelling visual stories.

"Fractured Logic" is an exploration of the spaces where certainty breaks down and new ways of seeing emerge. This exhibition delves into the tension between control and chaos, intention and intuition, revealing how moments of instability can lead to vibrant and dynamic compositions. Through my process, I break down traditional photography to reconstruct new visual languages where color becomes motion, form dissolves, and perception shifts.

This exhibition is not focused on a single theme but represents a cross-section of my ongoing artistic practice — a convergence of movement, light, and time. "Fractured Logic" invites viewers to engage with the pause between moments, revealing the subtle interplay of blur and clarity that exists in the moments between frames. It is a reframing of perception that encourages a deeper appreciation of the fluid, ever-changing nature of reality.

Inspired by the lines, textures, colors, and shapes that surround me, I use these elements to evoke emotional responses in my art. Each image captures a fleeting moment, blending movement, color, and emotion. My goal is to invite viewers to experience the world through my lens in new and unexpected ways, to see the beauty in ordinary moments, and to feel the fluidity and energy that shape our perception. In a fast-moving world, my art creates a space to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the vibrant complexity of life’s fleeting instants.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share this work and to invite others into my vision. Thank you for joining me in this exploration of color, movement and perception.
