Global Craft | The 16th Annual Art History Graduate Symposium

Nov 22 | 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. | ASU Art Museum

This event by the Council of Graduate Art Historians offers an opening welcome, keynote presentation, round table discussion and multiple panels about art history.

We are proud to share that Xin Wang, the curatorial director at Pace Gallery, will be our keynote speaker this year. Her curations widely engage with multiple media across different cultures and explore the alternative narrative of the history of art. In her recent discussion with Professor Matthew McKelway, she shed light again on traditional East Asian material culture by exploring how contemporary installations draw inspiration from traditional Japanese art forms, including the Rinpa School's nature depictions, golden screens and the works of 18th-century artist Itō Jakuchū.

Join us for a great day!
