As technological innovations transform the systems, practices and institutions of medicine, public calls are growing to maintain the human at the center of healthcare. But what does this call mean in practice? How can (and should) the humanities help?

This brown bag lunch panel discussion and group activity will bring together faculty leaders in the Humanities at ASU to explore how methods and modes of inquiry from the arts and humanities can drive healthcare innovations and promote practices that advance care for all.

Students, faculty, health professionals, and members of the public are warmly invited to join this interdisciplinary conversation. Following a short speakers panel, participants will break into interest groups to discuss ongoing projects and generate new ideas for keeping human flourishing at the center of healthcare.

This event marks the first celebration of Humanities Week on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus. Please join us for a thought-provoking faculty panel and a community-building event supporting the humanities for health on the downtown campus.
