Veni, Vidi, Virtual Work - Understanding and Succeeding in Remote Work
Part of the Humanities Lecture Series, presented by the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, attendees will learn how to succeed in today's remote and hybrid workplaces. Speaker and associate professor Zach Cordell, will explore the impact of remote work on young professionals and share practical strategies for building connections and engaging teams from anywhere. This event is free and open to everyone
Speaker Bio:
Zach Cordell is an Associate Teaching Professor at Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions, where he teaches courses on nutrition, behavior change, and cultural awareness in healthcare. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, completing his dissertation on leadership and innovation, with a focus on building connections in virtual and remote work settings. His work in nutrition, behavior change, and remote work all focus on how the environment and culture influence behaviors.
Zach earned his bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master’s degree in community nutrition from the University of Massachusetts. He completed his dietetic internship at Yale New Haven Hospital. He has authored a textbook on the intersection of culture and health, designed for future healthcare professionals, as well as two books exploring the relationship between faith and food. Additionally, he has experience in clinical dietetics, outpatient counseling, public speaking, content creation, and podcasting.
