From Ideas to Impact: Humanities Lab Alumni Panel & Networking

The Humanities Lab is partnering with the ASU Futures Center to bring together Humanities Lab alumni—students who have led impactful projects and are now charting post-graduation journeys in exciting ways—alongside some of our current Lab change-makers. 

HL alumni panel and discussion—Part 1

Together, 5 Humanities Lab alumni now settled into their post-graduation careers share insights, stories, and advice from their experiences in and beyond the Lab. Attendees will garner relatable take-aways from these peers-turned-professionals that help demystify how Humanities Labs and humanities courses across ASU can be a launchpad for impactful work while serving as a positive differentiator in the workplace.

Guided networking / workshop / Q&A—Part 2

During this portion of the event, in lightning round sessions, students will learn concrete strategies for translating humanities experiences into compelling resumes, portfolios, and interview narratives from the students themselves—as well as campus experts.

Be prepared to walk away with some behind-the-scenes alumni reflections and six actionable insights to move your own career trajectory forward!

Students, faculty and staff are welcome. We’ll have light appetizers to snack on.

About the Humanities Lab: The Humanities Lab hosts transdisciplinary courses that go beyond traditional academic boundaries in which students and stakeholders investigate multiple perspectives and create collaborative breakthroughs with communities on and off campus. “Labs” build bridges to new ways of knowing, doing and being by taking on pressing social challenges through a framework that always includes the humanities—ethics, culture, history, storytelling, power and diversity to lead transformative and principled innovation.
