The Interdisciplinary Arts & Performance (IAP) program is proud to present a new exhibition, Jimmy Smith: Model Glue & Other Bad Influences... A Cautionary Tale. This exhibit will feature vivid Hot Rod car designs and illustrations by the internationally renowned, Glendale-based artist Jimmy Smith. The exhibition will feature drawings, illustrations, graphics, models, and other artworks that celebrate Hot Rod culture and showcase its unique multidisciplinary artforms.

This exhibit will be on view from January 14th - February 11th, 2026.

 

Opening Reception & Hours

Join us for the Opening Reception on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 6–8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.The gallery will be open to the public Mon-Thr, 12-5pm. 

 

Car Gathering on the Lawn

Please also join us on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2–7 p.m. for a Car Gathering on the Lawn on the ASU West Valley campus. Customs, Classics, and Hot Rods are all welcome! If you are interested to show off your car, please email Jacob Meders to register: [email protected]
