Judy Stinson Lecture

Event description

  • Open to the public

The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is pleased to announce that Christine Venter, longtime Director of the Legal Writing Program at Notre Dame Law School, will present the annual Judy Stinson Lecture on Thursday, March 23, 2023 during the lunch hour (Arizona time).

Professor Venter will present her award-winning paper Dissenting from the Bench: The Performative Jurisprudence of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia, which was recently published in the Wake Forest Law Review.

The Stinson Lecture is hosted by ASU Law and delivered annually by a distinguished legal writing scholar. The lecture series is named, of course, in honor of our colleague Judy Stinson, who retired from ASU in 2020 after 27 years of leadership in the legal writing community. This will be a virtual live-streamed presentation.
