Join The Sidney Poitier New American Film School and Milagro Cinemas for a special Hispanic Heritage Month Screening of the 1962 surrealist Mexican Black comedy “The Exterminating Angel.” Luis Buñuel, Spanish and Mexican surrealist filmmaker (“Un Chien Andalou,” “L’Age d’Or”), directs Silvia Pinal, one of the great stars of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, in a satirical masterpiece. After a night at the opera, a group of wealthy dinner guests find themselves unable to leave a lavish dinner party. That chaos that ensues unmasks the savage instincts of the aristocracy. This event is part of The Poitier Film School Latino Screening Series, showcasing gems of Latino Cinema in partnership with Milagro Cinemas.
