Latino Screening Series: 'Mi Vida Loca'

Written and directed by Allison Anders, “Mi Vida Loca” (also known as “My Crazy Life”) is a seminal coming-of-age drama beloved for its Chicana representation as it follows the lives of a group of young cholas growing up in Echo Park as they navigate friendship, romance and heartbreak. It’s the first screen credit for actress Salma Hayek, who turns 60 this September. This event is part of The Poitier Film School Latino Screening Series, showcasing gems of Latino Cinema in partnership with Milagro Cinemas and the Mexican Consulate (Consulado General de México en Los Ángeles).
