  • Professional and career development

Join the ASU Library for the inaugural Library Game Jam, a collaboration with the Video Game Development Club

ASU students interested in games, design or play are invited to create a game to strengthen and stretch your technical experience with art, music tools or game engines like Game Maker, Godot or Unity. Learn new skills to add to their portfolio or resume. Whether you’ve had experience with making games or love playing them, all majors and skill levels are welcome!

Over the course of a week, students will work in small groups to build a game prototype inspired by ASU Library services and resources. Each group will present its design pitch and playable game at the Library Game Jam Closing Showcase and Networking event.

Students are invited to participate in optional library tours to hear from ASU librarians and visit different library locations and specialized centers such as the Labriola National American Indian Data Center, Community-Driven Archives Memory Lab and Naturespace.
