The Department of English at ASU invites all on April 23, 2026 in Ross-Blakley Hall room 117 on ASU's Tempe campus for the MA Applied Project Showcase! We have a lineup of stellar presentations from our MA students in comparative literature, literature, linguistics and applied linguistics, and writing, rhetorics, and literacies. 

The schedule of presentations are as follows:

  • 9:45–10:30 a.m.: Sarah Perrin, "Interpreting the Gothic" | Chair: Victoria Baugh
  • 10:30–11:15 a.m.: Hope Kan, "The Tempe Downtown Refresh Project: The Rewriting of Mill Avenue" | Chair: Kathleen Lamp
  • 11:15 a.m.–12 p.m.: Bei Han, "GenAI-mediated Language Learning in SLA Theories and Its Application in EFL Higher Education" | Chair: Mark James
  • BREAK
  • 3–3:45 p.m.: Jade Rose, "Reimagined Classics: How Do We Do Better?" | Chair: Melissa Free
