Meet the 2023 ASU Mandela Fellows

We invite you to meet the 2023 ASU cohort of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, YALI, Leadership in Public Management Institute. The Mandela Washington Fellows will meet with our community from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at the University Center, UCENT, lobby on the Downtown Phoenix campus.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is a U.S. Department of State program that Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions has hosted annually since 2014, with the exception of 2020 because of the pandemic.

We are expecting 25 fellows from 18 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa; they are between 22–36 years of age. The fellows will be prepared to share a little bit about their backgrounds and their areas of interest.
