About the Conference: This year is the 80th anniversary of the 1946 Kielce pogrom. Do we understand more as time goes by? This program shifts focus from death to survival and introduce Jakub Aleksandrowicz, a Kielce pogrom survivor, and his testimony (with English subtitles). The Kielce pogrom is going to be framed within broader postwar anti-Jewish violence across Central and Eastern Europe, often tied to Jewish property recovery and renewed Jewish public visibility.
