NIH Director's New Innovator and Early Independence Awards (Opportunity Kick Off)
The NIH announced two funding opportunities, the NIH Director's New Innovator Award and the Early Independence Award, both part of the High-Risk, High-Reward Research program. The program provides unique opportunities for exceptionally creative scientists to pursue highly innovative approaches to address major challenges in biomedical or behavioral research. There are no limitations on the number of applications an institution can submit for the New Innovator Award, however the PI must have Early Stage Investigator status. For the Early Independence Award, ASU is limited to submitting two applications. The limited submission deadline for this opportunity is July 17th.
Open Q&A time will follow the presentation.
