October Garden Commons Volunteer Event

The ASU Community is invited to learn more about urban gardening at the ASU Garden Commons located at the Polytechnic Campus. Garden Commons maintains a community garden with 21 raised beds and and orchard with over 20 fruit trees.

During the volunteer event participants will help with miscellaneous garden tasks including planting, harvesting, weeding, compost and seed starting. Come and volunteer - or simply come by and enjoy the flowers and learn about our programs. 

We ask that all volunteers be prepared for outdoor work and wear closed toed shoes. This includes wearing appropriate clothing, such as a hat and long sleeves and bringing a reusable water bottle. We will have work gloves and tools. 

The October event will include distribution of free seeds saved from Garden Commons produce and flowers.
