over my dead body there'll be a pillow fight (the sleepover play)

Event description

  • Arts and entertainment

Written by Claire Detloff

When Janelle invites four of her friends over for a classic high school sleepover, their bonds are tested by a traumatic confession and a never-ending itinerary of activities. Literally overnight, five high school juniors have to navigate the space between girlhood and womanhood, discovering just how deep their friendship is. "over my dead body there'll be a pillow fight" is a celebration of platonic love, girlhood rituals and the unbreakable bonds that form between women and their friends.

Content transparency: "over my dead body there'll be a pillow fight" explores mature themes including verbal mentions and conversations about sexual assault.
