To support February’s National Donor Day, the College of Health Solutions is hosting a phlebotomy training and community blood drive.

Blood drive

Will you be on the Downtown Phoenix campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.? Sign up to donate blood in the Vitalant bus!

Phlebotomy training

Are you a student wanting to learn how to draw blood? Sign up to take the phlebotomy training anytime from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Phlebotomy is a great skill to learn if you’re interested in becoming a licensed phlebotomist, nurse, physician assistant or other clinician. The training takes only five minutes! Trainers from Desert Dental will show a video and help you take blood draws from their mannequin arms.

Anyone can register to donate blood, while students are encouraged to sign up for one or both activities.

All donors will be offered a $10 gift card and one free admission to the Arizona Renaissance Festival as a thank-you for their donation.
