Podcast Club: Black Non-Believers

Event description

  • Family friendly
  • Free

What does it mean to reclaim history, identity and liberation through a secular lens? How do Black humanism, community and freedom intersect in conversations about faith, culture and social change?

Join us for Podcast Club as we explore the introductory episode of Secular Sankofa, a groundbreaking podcast examining Black humanism, African identity and liberation through thoughtful and challenging dialogue.

We’ll be joined by Dr. Neal Lester, ASU Project Humanities Founding Director, and Mandisa Thomas, founder of Black Nonbelievers, for an interactive discussion reflecting on the episode’s themes and their relevance to community, identity and collective liberation today.

We encourage participants to listen to the podcast episode before attending the event.
