The Skills Challenge is a Global "Game for Good" competition, using digital games to tackle the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through social innovation, creative collaboration, and community engagement among youth.

The QS ImpACT Skills Challenge 2026 invites young people from around the world to design playable digital games that address real-world sustainability challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Produced by QS ImpACT and Arizona State University, this  “Games for Good” challenge brings teams of students together to create innovative impact-driven games that address social and environmental issues, educate and engage players, foster a collaborative global community, and recognize outstanding work that drives meaningful change.

This fully virtual two-week challenge is offered to young people aged 18-35 and offers two technical tracks (Beginner, Advanced), free trainings with experts from Unity Education, Zynga Games and more, plus the chance to turn your ideas into a game with real-world impact and compete for global prizes.

Winning teams receive funding from a £2,000 prize pool to further develop and scale their games, while building future-ready skills — from creative thinking and collaboration to problem-solving and digital design — through real-world application.
