Event description

A collaboration with Níl Dabht Productions.
“Happy Days remains one of the most unsettling and unforgettable plays in the modern canon.” – The New York Times

Actors Monica Horan (Everybody Loves Raymond and Somebody Feed Phil) and Timothy Durkin (Only Murders in the Building and Scotland, PA) star in the production with post performance discussion by Dr. Katherine Weiss, Associate Dean at California State University Los Angeles (The Plays of Samuel Beckett and Simply Beckett).

About the play

Samuel Beckett’s groundbreaking play is as fresh today as when it debuted in 1961. Stranded in a mysterious landscape, the ineffable Winnie and her taciturn husband, Willie, navigate a progressively more unrecognizable world. Anchored by Monica Horan’s tour-de-force performance as Winnie, this production brings to vivid life the humor, despair, and unexpected grace of Beckett’s transcendent work.

The performances are made possible by generous support from the Consulate General of Ireland, Los Angeles, the ASU Humanities Institute, and the Arizona Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library.
