School of Art Animation Showcase
The animation program at the School of Art (SOA), part of the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts (HIDA), is proud to announce the Spring 2024 Animation Showcase. Come see at least fifty-five seniors showcase their animations, which span the range of stop-motion animation, 2D animation, 3D animation and real-time animation utilizing video game engines.
For each project, students worked either collaboratively or solo over two semesters under the supervision of an animation faculty member to produce a narrative or non-narrative experimental short, working from ideation, conceptualization of storyboards and animatic to a finished product.
Come see their hard work showcased on the Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center’s Large Theater! This is a great opportunity for rising seniors to see what the capstone entails and for family and friends to show their support. Faculty will be on hand to answer questions and take photos during the red carpet event before the screening.
