Selig Speaker Series - Leigh Steinberg

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business Program will host its signature Selig Speaker Series featuring legendary super-agent and the inspiration for the main character in the film Jerry Maguire, Leigh Steinberg. 

Across a career spanning five decades, Steinberg has served as an agent for more than 300 professional athletes across football, baseball, basketball, boxing, and Olympic disciplines, and he holds the record for representing the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft eight times. 

We are excited to hear how his journey has shaped the sports industry and to gain insight into his upcoming book, The Comeback, with an exclusive book signing to follow the event.
